There are many medical marijuana uses for individuals in need, and society as a whole. To start, lets focus on the individual. Why would a person want to use medical marijuana?

The health benefits of marijuana are undeniable. Marijuana alleviates pain, and certian, disabilites illnesses and diseases.
In California, a broad range of illnesses, disabilities, and diseases were approved to use medical marijuana as a treatment for therapy, and medication.
California has approved medical marijuana to effectively treat symptoms associated with cancer, muscle spasms associated with Multiple Schlerosis, chronic pain, symptoms associated with HIV and AIDS, Anorexia, migraine, headache, Glacucoma, persistent epileptic seasures, nausea, Cachexia, and other reoccuring medical conditions.
This is only Californias approved list of medical marijuana uses, however, the health benefits of marijuana are much greater. The list is still growing with research and time.
In addition to the above list marijuana can be a treatment for arthritis, Chrohn's Disease,PMS, Bipolar Disorder, Tourette Syndrome tics, ADD, ADHD, Insomnia, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, stress reduction, and the list goes on.
- Alzheimer’s Disease: a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior
- Anorexia: an eating disorder characterized by refusal to maintain a healthy body weight
- Anxiety: a feeling of apprehension or fear, the source of which is not always known or recognized
- AIDS: (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) is the final stage of HIV disease, which causes severe damage to the immune system
